 ZHENG Shan Shi鄭善禧(b. 1932

生於福建漳州,自小喜色彩濃艷、線條流暢的民俗藝術,常在空暇時到戲台、廟宇觀看匠師雕神像、漆門神,為之後的鄉土風格打下了基礎。其畫作融合民間藝術與文人畫風,使他的作品既有民間的華麗也有古樸雅致的文人風骨,創作題材多變,尤喜寫生,在師大求學與出國時,受到西洋繪畫色彩的衝擊,引領他突破傳統水墨與黑白藩籬。由於經常出入山林,他發現臺灣山形地貌與中國大陸有明顯的差異,而非傳統國畫的紙上雲煙,於是將身歷其境的親身感受,畫出了渾圓不峻、翠綠的「臺灣山」,畫出了臺灣風味的中國畫,除了山水畫之外,鄭善禧師法齊白石,將民間藝術融入畫作中,所畫皆是眼前所見及生活感受,趣味橫生,雅俗共賞。
